AIST (Tutorial: AI in Software Test) Canceled

The utilization of AI in software development and testing is recently focused, especially by machine learning and deep learning techniques. AI is expected to help automate and reduce the amount of software testing tasks. So AI in software testing tools helps us build high quality of software efficiently and effectively. In this tutorial, the attendees will see how to utilize AI in software test, including theory, techniques, exercises and practices for test automation.

SSW (Software Safety and Sustainable Society)

The boundary of safety critical system is no longer clear in Today’s smart cities. Thus, Software Safety is becoming more critical factors in every life and industries. In this workshop, we share and discuss current and upcoming requirements and practices for software safety in different perspectives; Government initiatives, traditional safety critical system domains, and future smart technologies. Korea Association of Software and Civil Safety’s formal general meeting will be held as well in the workshop session.

-> Will be held as an off-line meeting on 6th July 2020

KIP (Software Engineering Practice in Korean Industry)

The Software Engineering Practices in Korean Industry (KIP) workshop is one of Korean Events in ICSE 2020 to present and discuss insights, strategies, improvements and solutions to software engineering issues in Korean industries. Developing quality software is a major concern for gaining market share and competitiveness in products. Therefore, this KIP will inform how various engineering techniques are applied in software development of Korean companies, and provide a venue for presenting, discussing, sharing and networking to researchers, practitioners, or software engineers. This workshop will comprise invited session and discussion session with valuable stories on software engineering practices.

Software Engineering Practice in Korean Industry

About

Call for Presentations

The Software Engineering Practices in Korean Industry (KIP) is a newly organized event for researchers and practitioners to introduce valuable story of software engineering technologies in Korean industries. This workshop will invite project stories related to software engineering, which are undertaken by Korean companies, regardless of whether it succeeds or fails. Additionally, project leaders at universities that have been targeting companies will be also cordially invited.

Submissions

We are seeking the following types of submissions, all of which must be written exclusively in English. We do not use double-blind review (i.e., authors do not have to hide their identities in their papers).

Regular papers: (3~4 pages, including figures, tables, appendices, and references): Regular papers should address issues or problems related to software engineering in industry. Each paper should present the problem clearly and how these problems are solved; the approaches, strategies, techniques, and methodologies used to solve the problems can be presented systematically, and can also include the tools used, processes involved, and so on. It can include the efficiencies and effects resulting from the proposed solution, as well as cultural change and innovation. The paper can include Lesson Learned from the completed projects.

Issue paper (2 pages): Issue paper is a short article that discusses software engineering issues that companies are currently contemplating. This paper should clearly describe what the problem is or what the issue arises, with including a description of the conditions or circumstances under which this problem or issue occurs. Also, this paper should present research questions about the problem from different perspectives, and includes the alternatives to answer these questions. In particular, it is encouraged that this paper be included for applications in the field of software engineering that take advantage of recent software technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, edge computing, etc.

Each accepted paper written in two pages will be also included in the ICSE K-CLEs Companion proceedings.

Formatting: Formatting instructions are available at https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template for only Word Authors.
