With regards to the disruption caused by COVID-19 and associated ICSE 2020 re-planning on the following topics:
- ICGSE logistics
- ICGSE camera ready
- ICGSE author registration
- ICGSE early registration
The steering board of ICGSE has agreed to remain a co-located event of ICSE 2020, thus, to follow their decision with regards to postponing the event to October. Please note that ICSE is reserving the option to alter this new solution based on future developments regarding COVID-19; this decision will be taken early July. For more information, please make sure to review [1, 2].
Furthermore, the ICGSE 2020 proceedings compilation process has been partially affected. Nonetheless, we are currently expected to continue working with Sunday 15th March AoE as the camera-ready deadline. If you are an author, you should aim to have your paper ready by this deadline as planned. However, we may not be able to initiate the camera-ready paper acceptance mechanism until later. We will make sure to notify the authors timely.
Following the indications provided by ICSE: “We are working on a precise plan. For now, we can tell you that any registration deadline for authors will not be earlier than April 1st. Check back, and watch the registration page, for updates” . Therefore, you are not yet required to comply with the ‘author registration’ requirement; also in this case, we will notify you timely.
Finally, matters regarding the early registration will also follow the communication from ICSE: “For now, we can tell you that the early registration deadline will be no earlier than August 1, which is well after our July 5 deadline for making a final decision on the conference location. Check back, and watch the registration page, for updates”.
We thank the community for the continued patience, understanding, and flexibility with this process. As soon as we have further information you will be advised.
With kind regards,
